A 5800 sq. ft. boutique hotel nestled along the banks of the River Varuna in Varanasi.
The clients owned an old ancestral home that they wanted to transform into a boutique property. Within the premises stood a magnificent Rangoon creeper, which inspired the name “Rangoon Palace.” Their vision was to create classy, palace-like interiors that preserved the charm of the original structure while infusing it with a sense of timeless luxury — blending heritage elegance with modern refinement.
We drew inspiration from the vibrant hues of the Rangoon creeper, using its rich tones as the foundation of the colour palette. To capture the same sense of freshness and natural beauty the plant embodies, the interiors were envisioned with a tropical theme that evokes warmth and vitality.
Since the client desired a palace-like ambience, we blended classical details such as mouldings, arches, and a vintage-style façade with tropical elements inspired by foliage and soft, refreshing tones. The result is a space that radiates grandeur, freshness, and timeless charm — perfectly representing the soul of Rangoon Palace.
